This Morning fans fuming at ‘out of touch’ Christmas segment on ITV show

It might only be September, but it seems the sleigh bells have already started ringing in the ITV studios.

This Morning fans were left fuming on Wednesday morning (September 28) when hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield revealed they were going to be chatting about advent calendars on the show.

A large Christmas tree decorated with lights and tinsel had even been put up inside the studio to try and get viewers into the festive spirit.

And the presenters had only just finished a Halloween segment about pumpkin farms, so perhaps some couldn't handle the wildly contrasting themes.

Angry fans didn't hold back when they complained about the Christmas segment during the show, with many claiming it was "out of touch" during the cost of living crisis.

One viewer wrote: "Are you aware of the cost of living crisis and the financial instability in the country? Ditch your ridiculous advent calendar segment! Totally out of touch.

A second agreed: "Cost of living crisis. Yet let's bring up Christmas now. What's not to love"

A third wrote: "Christmas now?. No," whilst a fourth raged: "F*** off with Christmas in September, it's traumatising for some."

A fifth added: "IT’S SEPTEMBER!!! NO!!! JUST NO!!!"

It's not the first time This Morning has faced a backlash from fans who thought their segments weren't appropriate.
