Just when you think Bridgerton couldn’t get any better, TikTok singer Abigail Barlow has created a musical version of the hit Netflix series.
The creative singer was one of the 63 million households who’ve binged the Regency-era drama series since it dropped on Christmas Day.
It seems the musician loved it all so much that she was inspired to take the story, based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling historical romance novel series, and composed original songs based on the show.
Barlow got the ball rolling by posting a TikTok video singing a song for Daphne Bridgerton’s (Phoebe Dynevor) and now they just keep coming under the hashtag, #BridgertonMusical.
Other TikTok users have joined in the fun and also created their musical theatre production of the show by adding verses through the app’s Duet feature.
Showrunner Chris Van Dusen shared the clip of Twitter and wrote: ‘The #Bridgerton musical is blowing. My. Mind.’

The official Bridgerton Twitter account stated: ‘A rather talented bunch indeed. Consider this author impressed.’
Barlow has written multiple songs for this hypothetical Bridgerton musical, including a song from the perspective of Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). You can find them all on her TikTok page.
Following the positive response, Barlow revealed that she hoped to turn the Bridgerton musical into a full-length project or concept album.
It wouldn’t be the first original theatre project to emerge from TikTok, with users last year coming together to write songs for a musical based on the Pixar film Ratatouille.
It was eventually staged as a benefit concert on New Year’s Day starring Tituss Burgess and Adam Lambert.
Bridgerton is out now on Netflix.
