Trigger Point actor Adrian Lester angered fans this week after tweeting a major spoiler of the first episode of the ITV show.
The actor took to Twitter to respond to his character's untimely demise the morning after the first episode of the Vicky McClure drama had aired – and fans who hadn't seen the show yet were unhappy.
On Monday 24th January, Adrian tweeted: "THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW – Froze to Death RIVIERA- Blown up. DOOMSDAY – Shot in the back with Arrows TRIGGER POINT – Blown up. This job is killing me."
Fans flocked to tell the star he'd ruined the end of the first episode for them, leading Adrian to delete his original tweet.
He wrote to fans again on Twitter, saying: "Ahem….. Seems my last one might have been a little 'too soon.'"
The show's nail-biting first episode showed Adrian and Vicky's characters Lana and Joel investigate a suspected bomb in a block of flats.
After a tense scene that saw Lana nearly press a light switch, which they realised could be a trigger, they soon found out the first bomb was made of fireworks, meaning it wouldn't cause much damage.
A second bomb was then found attached to a hostage in the back of his car outside the block of flats, with Lana managing to clip the wires just in time before it was set off.
Viewers thought the pair got out of the scary situation unscathed, but as the locals were allowed back to their homes Joel had a flashback to his time at war.
He remembered that he had encountered bombers planting multiple bombs so disposal experts think they are safe only to draw a bigger crowd in.
In a horrific few moments, Joel goes to check out a van that hadn't had plates checked yet, only for a large blast to be set off.
While it's not confirmed whether or not his character is definitely dead, he was standing inches away from the van when the massive explosion went off.
Lana was dragged away from the wreckage by her boyfriend, but we'll have to wait until this weekend's episode to find out for sure what Joel's fate was.

Fans were quick to praise his performance on the tense first episode, with one commenting, "Fantastic work, as always, Adrian. Edge of your seat stuff!"
Another added: "Genuinely gutted! Was so looking forward to seeing you again. You will be forgiven if you do another series of The Hustle…….no negotiation here!"
Meanwhile, the show's protagonist, Line Of Duty star Vicky McClure told fans she found the first episode just as tense as them.
Tweeting after the episode's release, she said: "How we doing?! (Even I jumped!!)"
