AMERICAN singer Michael Bolton is the new host of The Celebrity Dating Show alongside New Girl star Zooey Deschanel.

Michael's current relationship status is believed to be single.

Speaking about his love life in an interview with The Mirror in March 2019, the singer said: "I am a deep, helpless romantic.

"I don't think there is any better feeling than being in love. I believe in The Ultimate.

"Then I get disappointed. But am I being unreasonable in what The Ultimate is?

"My dream woman would have to be honest, and humour is a really important quality.

"I have been set up on blind dates. Some were nice.

"I don't think I had any miserable blind dates. You're having dinner, you are basically continuing your interviewing process.

"I am good at being single, but there is room for a partner."

When was Michael Bolton married to Nicollette Sheridan?

Michael, 68, was never married to Nicollette Sheridan, 57, but the two did date between 1992 and 1995.

He remained in an off-relationship with the Desperate Housewives star for nearly two decades.

The pair got engaged in 2006 but called off their romance two years later.

Discussing the relationship to The Mirror, Michael said: "My longest love affair, on and off, was almost 18 years with Nicolette.

"It was powerful. She’s gorgeous and funny but it ran its course.

"It was a constant attraction."

Michael has three kids with ex-wife Maureen McGuire: Isa, Holly and Taryn.

The couple were married between 1975 and 1990.

He is believed to have six grandchildren.
