Worrying moment Robbie Williams is forced to stop gig as he tells fans he's 'exhausted' from health battle | The Sun

ROBBIE Williams was forced to stop his gig and told fans he’s “exhausted” from his health battle.

The 49-year-old singer explained to the audience that his long Covid symptoms meant he had to take a pause from belting out his tunes on stage.

Robbie was performing in the Netherlands over the weekend, at the Pinkpop music festival.

Between songs, he said: “No, stop stop. I'm f*****. I'm f*****,” and brought his band to a halt.

He then continued to add: “It's long Covid, I've got long Covid. It's not my f****** age, you f******.”

Nothing was going to hold the star back though, and he continued to perform some of his most iconic songs.

Robbie belted out the likes of Rock DJ and Angels, as well as 16 of his other famous tracks.

The singing legend had Covid twice, both in April 2020 and January 2021.

And he’s previously spoken about his struggle with Covid, saying: “The mental struggle has been the hardest bit about isolation, making sure we don't slip into our own dark holes.”

It comes after Robbie opened up on barely having sex with his wife Ayda Field.

The singer’s libido has drooped since he stopped taking testosterone to treat his depression.

Robbie said: “Everyone knows there’s no sex after marriage.”

Ayda, 43, said: “Intimacy is the important, meaningful side of love. We’re happy.”

In a podcast last year, she joked that sex between them was “completely dead”.

She grimaces: “I really panicked Rob would be mad. I’d actually forgotten about the interview, and then it came out weeks later — totally out of context, looking terrible — and I woke up to concerned texts from friends asking if I was OK about my sexless marriage!”

The former Take That star interjected: “I didn’t give a s***.”

Rob continued to tell The Sun: “No sex in a marriage is only a problem if you’re on different pages; if one person wants it, and the other doesn’t; if you have different expectations or requirements.

“But really, everyone knows there is no sex after marriage. That’s just the way it is. I was on testosterone for a while but, because I’m an addict, that had to stop. I got these massive square shoulders and started to look like a doorman. It wasn’t a good look.

“But the sex we had when I was on testosterone was incredible; it was all the time. We were insatiable. It goes to show how into each other we really are, though, because when I was on it, we couldn’t take our hands off each other.

“I miss that. That was a fun period. Sometimes now, though, Ayda will turn to me on the sofa and say, ‘We should do sex,’ and I’m sitting there eating a tangerine and just sort of shrug. So, ya know, sometimes we try.”
