Capitol police are bracing for another 'huge' MAGA protest of Trump supporters NEXT MONTH

MAGA fans are set to stage a protest at the Capitol next month to rail on behalf of "political prisoners" arrested in wake of the January 6 insurrection.

Matt Braynard, who was the data chief for Donald Trump’s campaign, has revealed plans for a "huge" demonstration in Washington DC as Capitol police brace themselves following the violent siege at the start of this year.

Speaking to former White House strategist Steve Bannon on his podcast last week, Braynard branded the insurrection labelling of the January 6 riot as a "phony narrative".

"We’re going back to the Capitol, right where it started. And it’s going to be huge," he said.

"As we continue to raise the profiles of these individuals (who have been arrested), it makes it harder and harder for the left’s phony narrative about an insurrection to stick.

"We’re going to push back on the phony narrative that there was an insurrection."

Trump's supporters laid siege to the Capitol on January 6 claiming the incumbent president was the victor, while Congress certified his loss to President Joe Biden.

But despite four people being killed in the riot and dramatic footage revealing chaotic scenes, Braynard said the crowd that day was "largely peaceful" – adding that protesters were "egged on in many cases by the Capitol Police".

More than 500 people already arrested have pleaded guilty over the deadly siege on January 6.

The FBI is still on the hunt for the Capitol riot pipe bomber and 300 protesters – with a$100,000 reward is being offered for the man who planted two explosives outside the offices of the Republican and Democratic national committees.

Those being sought also include many accused of violent attacks on officers and threats against journalists.

We’re going back to the Capitol, right where it started. And it’s going to be huge

Next month's protest – being orchestrated by the group Look Ahead America, headed by Braynard – has been dubbed "Justice for J6" as protesters are set to gather in support of people already arrested in connection to the insurrection

The demonstration is pegged for noon on September 18.

More details are set to be revealed closer to the day, but Braynard has said there will be some "high profile" speakers present.

It comes after a fourth law enforcement officer who responded to the January 6 riot died by suicide.

Officer Kyle DeFreytag, 26, was found dead on July 10, with Metropolitan Police confirming his death in a statement on Monday.

The news came just hours after a spokesperson from MPD confirmed that another officer who was at the riots, Gunther Hashida, 43, was found dead at his home last week.

With DeFreytag and Hashida included, four officers who responded to the attempted insurrection at the Capitol have now taken their own lives.

Meanwhile, Republican Adam Kinzinger teared up as he told Capitol cops "you guys won, you guys held" during testimony into the January 6 riot.

Wiping his eyes, the GOP rep and former Air Force veteran said: "You guys may feel, individually, a little broken…but you guys won. You guys held."

An emotional Kinzinger – one of two Republicans serving on the committee – added: "Democracies are not defined by our bad days. We're defined by how we come back from bad days.

"We still don't know exactly what happened. Why? Because many in my party have treated this as just another partisan fight.

"It's toxic and it's a disservice to the officers and their families."

Lawmakers on July 27 heard from Capitol police officers who described the moment rioters breached the building.

Capitol Police Officer Aquilino Gonell said he thought "this is how I’m going to die, defending this entrance."

Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone said he was “grabbed, beaten, tased, all while being called a traitor to my country.”

The committee is investigating what went wrong when hundreds of Trump supporters broke into the Capitol.
