Chelsea fan dad turns his lounge into a football pitch for his kids for less than £350

A DAD has turned his lounge into a football pitch for his kids.

Chelsea fan Roland Hall, 34, decked it with astroturf, goalposts, mock floodlights and banners.

And he did it all himself for less than £350.

He used glow in the dark tape to create white lines on the pitch and put up a Chelsea crest on the wall.

Roland said: “I’ve called it The Frank Lampard Memorial Stadium in memory of his time at Chelsea.”

It is now the new “home ground” for daughter Lilly May, 12, and son Ralph, ten.

Roland, of Surbiton, South West London, added: “My kids love football and lockdown stopped them playing in their local team.

“They were stunned when I showed them what I’d done, they love it. I’ve put the sofa in my bedroom — so it’s a bit cramped in there.”

YouTuber Roland’s main costs were £151 on astroturf, and £100 on logos on the walls — Chelsea’s and one for his The 3 Halls account.

He admitted: “To see the joy it’s brought Lilly May and Ralph, I’d have paid double. I do crazy things for the love of my kids.”
