Flaming idiot! Shocking video shows the moment a hapless thug tries to burn a soft play and sets himself on fire

A hooded thug was engulfed in flames after he set fire to a soft play centre.
Emergency crews were called to tackle the blaze at the Saltire Soft Play and Soccer Centre on the Mayfield Industrial Estate in Dalkeith, Midlothian, just before 11.30pm on Saturday.
Following the incident, the venue posted CCTV footage on social media showing the yob putting something through the letterbox.
Moments later fire and smoke began billowing from the building.
The cowled criminal then started to wave his arms around as he caught fire, before more flames burst outwards sending him into a panic.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews extinguished the fire, which police are treating as ‘wilful’.
Detective Constable Russell Taylor said: ‘We are keen to trace a man dressed in black who was seen in the area.
I would appeal to anyone who may have dashcam footage which could help to please contact us.’

The incident comes after the facility endured financial hardship as a result of lockdown restrictions.
Owner Craig Meikle told the Mail: ‘This has obviously been devastating for my family, our staff and customers and has left us unable to open for business.
‘Our thanks go out to all our well-wishers and the emergency services, whose prompt response has meant, hopefully, our closure will only be for a short time.’
