A LUCKY Brit has kicked the year off to an unbelievable start and scooped a whopping £39million Euromillions jackpot.
The winner has beaten the odds of one in 139,838,160 on the first day of 2021.
Tonight's National Lottery EuroMillions winning numbers are: 32, 16, 48, 44, 28.The Lucky Stars are: 01, 09.
Millionaire Maker Selection – 10 UK millionaires have been created VJDF23818, TJDG89021, MJDT28263, ZJDJ33226, VCBH43476, JHDC00319, VJDV44298, XJDL12216, TJDJ51783 and HJDJ67289.
The staggering winning prize is £39,774,466.40.
Camelot's Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at The National Lottery, said: "What an amazing start to 2021 for UK EuroMillions players.
"One UK winner has scooped tonight's entire £39 million EuroMillions jackpot and ten lucky players have walked away with £1 million each in the special UK Millionaire Maker New Year's Day event."
Players are being urged to check their tickets online via the National Lottery app or website, or in their local shop, and to give us a call to claim the first big prizes of 2021.
Nobody won the EuroMillons Hotpicks jackpot which uses the same numbers as the main draw but one winner scooped the Thunderball top prize of £500,000.
The Thunderball numbers were 13, 17, 30, 34, 35 and the Thunderball was 01.
Mr Carter added: "National Lottery players make a huge difference to National Lottery Good Causes across the country raising, on average, around £30 million every week.
"Thanks to National Lottery players, over £800 million has been distributed to date across the UK to help tackle the impact of coronavirus, including more than £400 million to support the most vulnerable in our communities."
Tuesday's EuroMillions jackpot is an estimated £15 million.
It comes as five winners have yet to come forward to claim their prizes.
One was the winner of the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker prize on Christmas Day.
The same £1million prize from December 29 is also to be claimed.
Meanwhile, three Set For Life winners — £10,000 per month for a year — from December 28 have not come forward.
Andy Carter, the National Lottery’s winners’ adviser, said: “The draws have not long happened but now it’s a case of urging all players to check their tickets.
“Imagine what winning one of these amazing prizes would mean.
"Any would certainly be one unforgettable late Christmas present.”
People can check their tickets at a local store, or they will get an email notification if they are a lucky winner who bought their ticket online.
Camelot said payouts to the five winning ticket-holders will add to the £4 billion handed out in prize money in 2020, which has created 391 new millionaires.
