SHOCKING new details have emerged in the case of the mom who is said to have decapitated her six-year-old son along with the family’s pet dog.
The Missouri mom, Tasha Haefs, 35, has been found mentally incompetent to stand trial, according to online court records.
The judgement was made by Judge Sarah Castle at the conclusion of a case management conference May 27.
Haefs had been ordered to undergo a mental evaluation by May 20 with the findings submitted to the court May 25.
Castle determined that Haefs “lack the mental fitness to proceed” to trial and Haefs was placed in the custody of the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
Haefs had been facing trial on charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action stemming from the horrific death of her son Karvell Stevens.

When cops responded to the Kansas City crime scene back in February they also discovered the family’s dog dead and decapitated.
Cops had gone to the Haefs’ home having received a call from a woman inside saying that “the devil was trying to attack her”.
Haefs allegedly confessed to killing her son, telling investigators she had killed him “in the bathtub” before “decapitating the victim,” according to a previously released criminal complaint.
Haefs will be placed in “a suitable hospital facility for treatment,” according to the Commitment Order.
