Kem Cetinay’s luxurious Essex restaurant has closed its doors following an ongoing controversy with local residents over noise, fighting and general disturbance.

Array Essex, based in Shepherds Hill, Romford, announced to its 76,000 followers on Instagram that it had ‘listened’ to the local community and would be closing, but was looking to rebrand and reopen in the future.

Co-owed by Love Island star Cetinay and Nadir Gul and boasting a British & Mediterranean fusion, the restaurant has been embroiled in a long-running dispute with local residents.

Tensions came to a head last December when the restaurant had its opening hours cut following a string of complaints claiming there was noise into the early hours of the morning and fighting on the premises.

One month prior, a 33-year-old man was also stabbed outside of the establishment but his wounds were not life threatening.
