POLICE have arrested a 24-year-old suspect after a man exposed himself to a woman while she was holding a child in her arms.

The woman was standing with the child on a pavement in Bournemouth, Dorset, when a man exposed himself and performed a lewd act in broad daylight.

He was challenged by a member of the public after the shocking incident around 2pm on November 16 on Old Christchurch Road.

A 24-year-old man form Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency and is helping police with their enquiries.

Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

Chief Inspector Danny Thompson, of Dorset Police, said: “We continue to carry out a number of enquiries.

“At that time of the day the area would have been busy and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to please contact Dorset Police.

“I would also like to appeal to anyone who has taken a photo or video footage in relation to the incident to please get in touch with us to enable officers to gather all available evidence, rather than sharing it on social media.”
