Man, woman and boy, 16, arrested after teen, 17, is shot in Hampshire

THREE people including a 16-year-old boy have been arrested after a 17-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds.

A man, 40, and 34-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after cops discovered the teen with serious injuries.

Cops also arrested a 16-year-old on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

The teen was taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition following the horror in Blackwater, Hants, at around 2.56pm yesterday.

The three people arrested are being quizzed by detectives in custody, Hampshire Police said.

Chief Inspector Matt Reeves said: "This was a very serious incident which has left a young man in hospital.

"We don’t doubt that you will have your concerns, but fortunately incidents of this nature are rare in Hampshire.

“Detectives are continuing to carry out enquiries in the area, so please be assured that this is being taken very seriously.

“You will likely see a lot of officers in Blackwater today as we look to reassure the community, as well as investigate what has happened in Hearsey Gardens.
