ACTOR Matthew Perry has died at age 54 in an apparent drowning accident at his home.
The Friends star is believed to have been found unresponsive in a jacuzzi at the property in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Perry, who rose to fame for his role as Chandler Bing, is believed to have drowned according to an early report from TMZ,
Law enforcement sources told the outlet that first responders were initially called to the Los Angeles property for a cardiac arrest.
Sources also told TMZ that no drugs were found at the scene, and that foul play is not suspected at this time.
The outlet revealed Perry came home after a two-hour game of pickleball, and sent his assistant out on an errand shortly after.
The assistant is said to have returned about two hours later, where he discovered Perry unresponsive and reached out to emergency services.
The U.S. Sun witnessed Perry's father looking distraught as he arrived in his car and spoke to officers before slowly walking back to his vehicle and being allowed under the cordon.
The U.S. Sun also learned investigators turned up at Perry's Los Angeles mansion around 7pm local time, and were waiting for the coroner.
The actor was last seen out at a restaurant called The Apple Pan in Los Angeles.

He appeared downcast, despite being out with friends.
Perry's final post on Instagram also showed him enjoying a dip in what appeared to be a jacuzzi.
The caption read: "Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I'm Mattman."
Prior to his death, Perry was believed to be single.
In December 2019, The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed that he was romantically linked to Molly Hurwitz.
Perry confirmed to People in 2020: "I decided to get engaged."
The relationship ended shortly after, however, with the star revealing to the outlet that they had called it quits in June 2021.
PAYING TRIBUTE
Shortly after news of his passing broke, heartbroken fans flocked to social media to pay tribute to the late star.
One person posted on X, formerly Twitter: "Please don't tell me this Matthew Perry [news] is true."
"Unbelievable. Rest in peace," a second fan reacted with.
A third user wrote: "RIP. That's horrid," and another added, "No. Unbelievable, only 54! He was my favorite from Friends!"
Even longtime TV personality Piers Morgan reacted: "The Friends star was a great actor, but by his own admission, a very tormented guy.
"His recent autobiography about his addiction-ravaged life was one of the most powerful, honest and revealing I’ve ever read. Such sad news."
Perry, who was born in Massachusetts but grew up in Canada, spent 10 seasons playing Chandler on Friends and was beloved by viewers.
Off-screen, however, he faced his share of struggles.
CAUSE FOR CONCERN
In the months and years leading up to his death, the star left fans worried he'd fallen back into old habits.
Many noted that at times, he appeared disheveled.
The actor was seen moving into a new home in Los Angeles in February.
His graying hair was mussed and he appeared red in the face.
Perry was wearing old somewhat tattered clothes in photos from the sighting.
The Fools Rush In actor sipped on a drink from Starbucks as he took a brief break from moving.
The sighting came after Perry wrapped up his whirlwind book tour.
In the memoir, he shared shocking details about his life and past issues.
PERRY'S PAIN
In his memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing: A Candid, Darkly Funny Book, The Longest Yard star opened up about his struggles.
He spoke candidly about battling addiction – something he's been open with fans about through the years.
In 2018, at the age of 49, he suffered a gastrointestinal perforation as a result of his extreme opiate usage.
He was given just a two percent chance of living after being comatose for two weeks.
The entertainer had to use a colostomy bag while his colon healed.
Perry revealed that while his body was relying on the bag, he woke up covered in his own feces "50 to 60" times throughout the five months he was hospitalized.
"I had s**t all over my face, all over my body, in the bed next door," he confessed.
"When it breaks, it breaks. You have to get nurses."
He also revealed that he lost all his top teeth in the midst of his addiction battle.

Perry revealed that at the height of his addiction, he was consuming about 55 Vicodin pills a day and weighed just 128 pounds.
He did a stint in rehab but continued to struggle.
