The Reese's Thanksgiving Pie from Hershey (HSY) is taking the internet by storm. The solid peanut butter and chocolate pie, essentially a ginormous 9-inch wide, 3.4 pound Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, debuted on Monday, but sold out almost immediately. 

Only 3,000 of the coveted pies were available for purchase on Hershey's website — for the hefty price tag of $44.99. 

In a statement to Yahoo Finance, the company said, “We are astounded that the Reese’s Thanksgiving Pie sold out in under 2 hours. We knew our fans would be excited and want this for their holiday celebrations. Currently, we do not have plans to restock this year but you never know what 2022 will hold for Reese’s.”

Reese's redirects fans who didn't score the pie to the other holiday treats it debuted in September, including a holiday-flavored peanut brittle, an advent calendar, and a Reese's shaped like an an ugly sweater, among other items.

Shares of The Hershey Company are up 16.7% year-to-date.
