It is known for operating near crucial undersea infrastructure such as Internet cables, which it is believed to be able to cut.

It was recently spotted near lines of cables off the coast of Ireland.

The ship was first spotted by defence analyst H. Sutton.

MailOnline has contacted the MoD for comment.
