Dan Walker, 44, has been blessed with a thick head of hair, and his appearance on BBC Breakfast yesterday morning left one fan wondering whether he had visited a hair salon to have a few highlights put through his already blonde locks. But the host was quick to dismiss the assumption.
Has @mrdanwalker had highlights over the weekend?

Dan was back on the red sofa alongside Louise Minchin, as the flagship BBC show kicked off another week of news.
But while watching the program, an avid watcher took to Twitter to quiz the presenter on his appearance.
“Has @mrdanwalker had highlights over the weekend?” they asked playfully.
“Looks like it!”
Someone else joked: “Those are not because of a visit from a hairdresser, more due to stress given to him from his wife for picking the film ‘Tenet’ to watch!’
But Dan quickly dismissed the suggestion he had taken a trip to a salon for a new look, replying: “Nope,” alongside a laughing face.
In the past, the 44-year-old has taken fans on his hair journey, following a few dodgy lockdown haircuts.
Earlier this year, he shared a montage of his various hairstyles with his 172,000 Instagram followers.
In the short clip, the presenter posed and pouted to Vital Fire’s You Make My Dreams Come True, while bopping along with the extreme looks.
The hairdos left his fans divided over which suited the news presenter best and were a far cry from his usual, casually-swept look which he wears to host the BBC morning show.
Dan posted the montage alongside the caption: “I think it’s time to embrace #LockdownHair and try a few different options.
“What do you think?” he asked his fans with emojis of a pair of scissors and laughing face.
In the first shot, Dan entered the clip sporting a scruffy, spiky hairdo along with a mock-serious expression.
Next up, was a slicked-back style which, judging by the look on his face, he appeared to be less than happy with.
After checking himself out from different angles, he left the shot before once again returning with a mohawk.
Pulling funny faces at the camera, the serious news presenter smiled slightly while trying not to laugh at himself donning the 50s hairdo.
After re-styling his blonde hair, the TV host returned to shot with his hair brushed forward and shaped into one curl on his forehead.
He then switched to a slicked-back style once again before featuring each hair style in quick succession and ending the video.
But as soon as the hairdressers opened again, it was back to business for the presenter as he debuted his clean cut look, posting a photo to Twitter along with a little joke.
“Head feels a lot lighter this morning,” he quipped, as his followers praised him for looking smart.
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
