Dua Lipa Embraced Her Inner Y2K Pop Star in a Butterfly-Embellished Bra Top and Matching Miniskirt

Butterflies are back in fashion — at least if Dua Lipa has anything to say about it. From her see-through dress at the Grammys to an ab-baring asymmetric butterfly-shaped top, the pop star has singlehandedly given the nostalgia-inducing trend wings once again, and her latest look was a full-on Y2K flashback.

On Saturday, Lipa was spotted en route to an Adele concert in London wearing a baby pink butterfly-embellished bralette with spaghetti straps and pieces of fabric that tied around her bare midsection and neck. She paired the tiny top with a matching miniskirt featuring a side slit and a ruffled hemline. Even her heels featured a sparkly butterfly motif at the center of each shoe, as well as scaled-down versions of the insect on the straps that delicately lengthened up her ankles. She accessorized with a coordinating baguette bag and diamond rings on almost every finger.

Exaggerating the early '00s effect of her outfit, Dua added a swipe of purple eyeshadow and styled her dark brown hair down with baby braids.

Dua's entire outfit was from the beloved early aughts brand Blumarine's spring 2022 collection. Their runway show embraced this year's recent Y2K renaissance and included everything from butterfly-printed maxi dresses to butterfly necklaces, belts, and a denim version of Mariah Carey's iconic sequined top that Dua already modeled on Instagram last month. "Kaybug," she captioned a series of photos of herself posing in the aforementioned shirt and coordinating wide-leg denim with butterfly motifs on the leg and hip.
