Meghan Markle went almost unnoticed as she pottered around a farmer's market, sampling the local honey and picking up some flowers.
But while the Duchess of Sussex was living the California dream, her sunny day out saw her raise a few eyebrows.
The Montecito farmer's market has signs up banning dogs, something the 41-year-old seemed to have overlooked, with her pet Beagle at her side.
The only exception to the rule is 'registered service animals' – it is unknown if Meghan's dog is one of these.
Despite the seeming mistake, the former actress looked relaxed as she wandered around the market stalls wearing a white unbuttoned shirt over a camel coloured maxi dress.
She paired the look with black flip-flops, aviator sunglasses and a large straw bag – her brunette locks were tied back in a low bun in a bid to keep cool in the summer heat.
Unaccompanied by her husband, Prince Harry, 38, or their two children, Meghan went virtually unnoticed by locals as she browsed the different market stalls and picked up a bunch of fresh flowers which she stored in her straw bag as she continued shopping.
The royal couple have two Beagle dogs, Guy who Meghan adopted in 2015 when she was still acting and Mamma Mia who they rescued from an animal testing centre last summer.
Among their fury pets they also have a Labrador called Pula, the perfect family pet for children, Prince Archie, four and Princess Lilibet, two.
The day out comes after Meghan shared an adorable moment with her daughter as they celebrated the festivities on July 4 in America.
As they watched a July 4 parade near their California home the Duchess was spotted sweetly cuddling Lilibet, beaming as she protectively held her little girl while crouching on the ground.
A collection of vintage vehicles beeped as they drove down the road in celebration, while people inside excitedly waved American flags, Meghan continued to support her daughter in front of the moving cars.
Meghan opted for another trademark casual look with a shirt, light blue faded jeans and flat shoes – the look was completed with sunglasses and a simple ponytail.
The Duke of Sussex was also spotted among the crowd chatting and laughing with two people while Meghan focused on the parade.
He donned a green khaki shirt top, navy trousers and plain trainers, paired with a cap and sunglasses in order to keep a relatively low profile.
