Oasis star Noel Gallagher is divorcing from wife Sara Macdonald after 22 years together, we can confirm.
A spokesperson on behalf of the couple has announced the news with a statement which said: "Noel and Sara will together continue to look after their children who remain their priority.
"Noel and Sara ask the media to respect their privacy and that of our family at this time.”
The couple first met at Ibiza club Space in 2000 and finally got hitched in 2011.
Sara, 51, gave birth to their first son Donovan in 2007, followed by their second child Sonny in 2010.
This latest news comes after fans have speculated about an Oasis reunion.
The Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, who are both band members, haven't been on good terms for a long time and continue to insult each other publicly in interviews and on social media.
But earlier this month Liam created fresh hopes for an Oasis reunion when he replied to a fan's tweet asking if the band will be returning this year, in which he responded with a praise emoji.
However Noel shut down chatter of an Oasis reformation late last year, when he told Pub Talk: “Er, would you go on holiday with your ex-missus?”
“As funny as this sounds,” he added. “Oasis sell as many records now per year as we did when we were together. We’re as popular now in the eyes of the people as we ever were. And I’m happy with it."
And Noel's not the only one who has had been linked to a fallout with Liam. Family man and our columnist Peter Andre fell victim to the Oasis frontman's wrath in 2007 when Liam called Pete a series of expletives.
The Mysterious Girl singer said of the incident at the time: "I read somewhere that Liam Gallagher has been calling me all sorts of names. I found this quite surprising because when I last saw Liam he couldn’t have been friendlier to me and Katie [Price]. I’d go as far as to say that he was totally up our backsides!
"We bumped into him at a Radio 1 event and he told us how great he thought we were and how his mother Peggy was a big fan. It’s such a shame he was too much of a coward to tell us how he really felt to our faces instead of being two-faced. That man is all mouth and no trousers!"
However Peter has since revealed the singer later apologised and praised him for being a "great father."
