The daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley reflects on life ‘pre storm and post storm’ after her dad and mom were convicted on tax evasion and fraud charges and could spend up to 30 years behind bars.
AceShowbiz –Savannah Chrisley is keeping her head up. The daughter of Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley has given fans an update on how she’s feeling after her parents were convicted on tax evasion and fraud charges.
Making use of her Instagram page on Wednesday, June 22, the 24-year-old reality star posted a lengthy note that read, “Sitting here this morning reflecting on life…Pre Storm and Post Storm. One thing I can say is that I am thankful for those around that choose to love and love hard…no matter how difficult it may be.”
“Pre Storm was FAST paced and full of things that just don’t matter. Halfway through the video is the transition – more quiet time, more God time, more me time and family time,” Savannah continued. She went on noting, “And oddly enough…I am grateful in a weird way because I know that there is a God who out of nothing, does everything!”
Savannah further elaborated, “He can take what the enemy used to try and destroy you and use it to develop you. I am in the process of finding ME…so bare with me.” She also said that she believes “no matter what happens in life… choose love. Love so purely that it hurts.”
“God is slowing me down and working in my heart…it’s a process. But a process I’m so willing to endure,” Savannah added, “It’s moments like these that will make me a better daughter, sister, friend, partner, future mother, and daughter of God [red heart emoji].” She later thanked those “who continue to love on my family and I.”
Todd and Julie received the verdict on June 7. The couple was found guilty on all 12 counts, including wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States. Their former accountant Peter Tarantino was also found guilty of conspiracy to defraud the United States and willfully filing false tax returns.
Todd and Julie could spend up to 30 years behind bars. They will be sentenced at a later time. Following the guilty verdict, their lawyer Bruce Morris said in a statement that they’re “disappointed in the verdict.” The attorney later declared that “an appeal is planned.”
Following the guilty verdict, the “Chrisley Knows Best” stars lamented it’s such a “very sad” time for their family. “We did want to come on today and let everyone know that it’s a very sad, heartbreaking time for our family right now,” Todd said in the June 17 episode of their “Chrisley Confessions” podcast. He added, “We still hold steadfast in our faith and we trust that God will do what he does best because God’s a miracle worker. That’s what we’re holding out for.”
