GMB: Piers Morgan jokes about Charlotte Hawkins’ ‘talent’
Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins, 45, shared a picture of her home set-up on Twitter last night as she revealed she was taking precautions and self-isolating at home. The presenter will host her Classic FM show from her home, but will not be on the ITV show this week.
The host could be seen beaming for the camera while sitting in her “makeshift studio”.
She wrote: “Here’s my makeshift recording studio at home, I’m isolating after contact with someone who later tested positive but the good news is Smooth Classics goes on! Join me 7-9pm on @ClassicFM, my Young Classical Star is the super-talented 13 year-old @CaiThomasOffic1.”
Susanna Reid took to Charlotte’s post to wish her co-star well.
She wrote: “Brilliant improvisation! Stay well.”

Others flocked to her post to comment, including one fan who queried whether she had been following Covid rules.
They wrote: “I like you a lot, a breath of fresh air in the morning but if you’ve been tagged then you are not following the rules properly. Simple as that.”
Hitting back, Charlotte wrote: “Not as simple as that Jon, I have absolutely been following the rules.
“It was flagged via our contact tracing system at the ITV studios.”
The same Twitter user went on to apologise to Charlotte for his previous post.
Another commented: “We will miss you at 6am.”
“Yes I’ll miss it too! No @gmb for me this week sadly,” she replied.
A fourth penned: “Please take care and stay safe x.”
