CLEANING your TV is a quick and easy task, which you should try and make time for about once a week in order to keep the picture clean and stop dust from building up.

Most delicate, flat-screen TVs can be cleaned in the same way, by following these simple steps…
1. Turn off your television and unplug it.
2. Gently wipe the screen with a clean, dry, lint free cloth. Microfibre cloths are a popular choice, designed to remove smudges without leaving behind any fluff or scratches. Avoid abrasive cloths and paper towels, which can damage your TV screen.
3. To tackle any remaining dirt, spray a screen cleaner solution on to the cloth and gently wipe or spot-clean the area.
Note: you should never spray anything directly onto your TV screen and avoid using water unless advised by the manufacturer
4. Dry the screen with a new, clean, dry cloth, and then wait until the moisture has evaporated before plugging in your TV.

How do I clean tube televisions?
A tube television is a more old-fashioned television which predates flat-screen TVs, and is usually smaller in screen size and much bulkier.
But despite their different appearances, the process of cleaning a tube television is much the same as cleaning a flat-screen TV.
You should still turn off your TV and unplug it before cleaning.
Then, wet a microfiber cloth using water or cleaning spray and wipe down the screen. Do not spray the screen directly as this could damage your TV.
For stubborn spots, use the corner of a cloth, or use your fingernail.
Finally, take a dry microfibre cloth and buff the screen dry in a circular motion, to help avoid streaks across the screen.
How do I clean a remote control?
Your remote control is possibly one of the most used gadgets in your household, so make sure you don't forget to also frequently clean that to keep away germs.
First, remove the batteries from the back of the remote, and tap it to get rid of any crumbs.
You should then apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol, such as isopropyl alcohol, to a microfibre cloth or alcohol wipes, and clean both sides of the remote.
For best results, use between 60 to 80 per cent alcohol concentration.
To clean around the buttons, use a toothpick, cotton bud, or your fingernail.
Finally, wait for the remote to dry, and then replace the batteries.
How do I clean TV speakers?
First, you should check your TV manual to see if the fabric covers on the speakers are removable.
If they are, lift them off and hoover both sides with the nozzle upholstery tool of your vacuum cleaner – and it's as simple as that.
For non-removable speaker covers, gently use the upholstery tool across the front of the speaker, or use a lint roller to get the job done.
Finally, dust down your speaker using a dry, lint-free cloth.
