A 42-YEAR-OLD has revealed her favorite food for its effective anti-aging properties.

Not only is it delicious, but it also helps boost your collagen levels and lifespan, she said.

Melly (@melaniesandford18) shared the video with over 370,000 TikTok followers.

She snacked on a cup full of pomegranate seeds as she explained its beneficial properties.

"Did you know pomegranates are one of the best anti-aging foods you can eat?" she said.

She explained pomegranate seeds contain a compound called Punicaligins, which help to prevent the breakdown of collagen in the skin.

On top of that, the seeds also contain ellagitannins, molecules convert to Urolithin A, a compound that improves the mitochondria and cellular health.

The seeds boast a variety of other benefits, such as slowing down cancer cell growth, fighting infections, and improving heart health.
