BARGAIN fans are racing to Sainsbury's to bag their £2 boxes full of fresh fruit and veggies.

As families all across the nation are struggling with the soaring cost-of-living crisis, more companies are looking for incentives to help Britons.


One of those is Sainsbury's who recently started selling huge boxes filled with fresh produce at a bargain price – just £2.

And it's safe to say, fans have been going wild over this steal, with some branding it the best deal out there.

The amazing find was shared on Facebook by Lorna Galvin, who uploaded a snap showing just how much she managed to get.

''Sainsbury's have started doing these £2 boxes of veggies,'' said the happy shopper, explaining this was her first time spotting one.

''My box had 2 small cauliflower, a pack of tenderstem broccoli, 500g of seedless green grapes, 300g of seedless red grapes, 2 small bananas, 1 red apple and 1 green apple… bargain,'' Lorna couldn't get over the amazing purchase.

According to some, this veggie and fruit box is only a trial in selected stores and they're not available until late afternoon.

The post – uploaded on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group – has gone viral, racking up 2.1k likes by fellow foodies.

Amazed by the find, one shopper, Stacey Williamson, took to Facebook to share the news with fellow members of the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.

According to Stacey, the cute winter must-have has been slashed to just 80p and comes with a Mickey Mouse design – perfect for all Disney fans and those with kids.

She had stumbled upon a pile full of these in Asda Home section – but bare in mind that this is in-store only, as the website sells the item for £7.

The super soft throw, which is 120 x 150cm in size, has already been a hit amongst parents who couldn't wait to get their hands on one.

Uploaded just an hour ago, Stacey's post has already gained close to 1.5k likes and thousands of comments.

One keen shopper tagged their mate and said: ''keep your eyes open.''

Someone else wrote: ''Wish I could find them at mine. Would make great gifts!''
