Thrifty woman creates Mrs Hinch-inspired grey brick feature wall for FREE using wallpaper samples

IF money were no object, we'd have a different feature wall in every room in our homes – but splashing out on different paints and wallpapers can get very expensive, very quickly.

That said, one savvy woman has revealed how she created a Mrs Hinch-inspired grey brick for FREE – and we can't believe we never thought of it before.

Posting on the Facebook group Ladies Budget DIY, the woman explained how she put different grey Homebase wallpaper samples to good use.

She wrote: "Cut out brick shapes from many samples of silvery grey coloured wallpaper from Homebase and used some left over wallpaper paste I had."

Choosing an area above her kitchen counter, the woman then stuck the rectangular pieces of wallpaper in neat rows running down the wall – and it looks as it could have been tiled.

"Honestly super proud of how it has turned out," she wrote. "Will add a large round bevelled edge frameless mirror to it soon."

Unsurprisingly, the feature wall was a hit with other members in the group.

One replied: "That's fab! What a great idea."

"That's freaking insane," another gushed. "Love love LOVE it!!!!"

A third wrote: "Amazing, you must have lots of patience!"
