Apprentice star Amy Anzel’s celebrity connections including Corrie stars and Loose Women

The latest series of The Apprentice has hit screens introducing viewers to a new crop of business hopefuls keen to catch Lord Alan Sugar's eye.

The winner of the series will bag a £250k investment into their business with previous winners seeing their companies skyrocket after appearing on the show.

After the first episode aired last night, we were curious to find out more about this year’s hopefuls.

Amy Anzel is a 48-year-old beauty business owner from London, but born in New York, and is already a clear success in her own right.

Her brand Hollywood Browzer already has almost 50k followers on Instagram and plenty of celebrity fans.

The beauty brand owner has rubbed shoulders with more than a few celebrities judging by her star-studded Instagram page.

Her Instagram account is bursting with famous faces (and her cheesy grin), including Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn and X Factor contestant Diana Vickers, plus Loose Women panellist Linda Robson and her Birds of a Feather pal Lesley Joseph.

“What a lovely evening with these two national treasures”, she wrote alongside a photo with Loose Women stars Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph.

Oh and if that wasn’t enough, she’s met Queen guitarist Brian May.

Despite her celebrity pals, Amy has warned that while she is friendly, she can also switch that off when necessary.

Speaking ahead of the show, she said: "I can be nice when I need to be, but when I, unfortunately, have to be a b***h, I will…"

Amy also has previous experience on-screen having previously run a theatre company and appearing as a guest presenter on QVC.

On her website her bio reads: "As a former actress, Founder and Creator of The Hollywood Browzer, Amy Anzel, spent hours in makeup trailers and backstage dressing rooms around the world and was constantly exposed to the tips and tricks of various makeup artists and Hollywood celebrities.

"The concept behind The Hollywood Browzer was one of the celebrity favourites that Amy discovered during that time."
