Fashion Week has one very kinky presentation this season

After COVID forced designers to put on pared-down, socially distanced shows or virtual events in 2020, New York Fashion Week will kick off Wednesday with models strutting the runways in real life and a number of in-person, vaccine-required bashes.

Italian luxury brand Bulgari will celebrate its new B.zero1 collection with a performance by Chloe X Halle on the rooftop of the Standard Hotel in front of expected guests including Lily Aldridge, Eliza Gonzalez, Hailee Steinfeld, and Delilah and Amelia Hamlin. Paul Sevigny — the perennial nightlife scenester behind Paul’s Casablanca and Paul’s Baby Grand — is set to DJ.

Meanwhile, we hear Dior will be hosting a bash at the Brooklyn Museum to fête the opening of the “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams,” exhibit which will showcase over two hundred haute couture garments, archival photographs, videos, sketches, and more.

Swiss luxury watch brand Vacheron Constantin will open their new flagship on 57th Street with an ultra chic bash followed by dinner for expected guests including Katie Holmes, Karen Elson, designer Christian Siriano and actress Dylan Penn at a secret penthouse overlooking the city. Sources tell us the evening will include a number of surprise performances.

The Daily Front Row is returning with its annual Fashion Media Awards at the Rainbow Room honoring model Precious Lee, Irina Shayk, In Style’s charming editor in chief Laura Brown, and former Vogue editor and CR Fashion Book founder, Carine Roitfeld.

Roitfeld will also be doing a bash with Grey Goose at the newly opened, members-only Casa Cipriani. Gucci will be holding an in-store event and Neiman Marcus will be holding a party at Lincoln Center.

Saks will also be hosting a star studded bash with Paris Hilton DJing and “I Don’t Want It at All” singer Kim Petras performing. Sarah Paulson and Kumail Nanjiani, their campaign stars, will be on hand as well as Debbie Harry, downtown it girl Julia Fox, and “Saturday Night Live’s” Chloe Fineman.

And designer Frederick Anderson will be holding his after party bash for his show on September 9 at the Pierre hotel. It’ll be hosted by Anna Rothschild and Peter James Cryan and sponsored by Macallan whisky, with expected guests including Patty Raynes, Valesca Guerrand Hermes, Danny Baker Jr, Petra Khashoggi, Jennifer Creel, Christine Mack, Christina Cuomo and Samantha Perelman.
