Molly-Mae Hague’s ombré pink nails are set to be the bridal look of 2023

By now you must have noticed thatMolly-Mae HagueandTommy Furyofficially got engaged last weekend, and amongst the lavish location and stunning outfits, another aspect of the proposal we can’t get enough of was Molly-Mae’s fresh, natural look.

Set on a clifftop overlooking the Ibiza coastline, Molly-Mae’s beauty choices perfectly mirrored the effortless, beachy vibes of the romantic setting.

She opted for loose undone waves fastened back into a half ponytail, and her signature natural-looking glam, which included bronzed skin, four different types of blusher, and a nude lip with a subtle brown-toned smokey eye – one of Molly-Mae’s go-to looks.

However, one of the most important parts of any engagement glam is the manicure, and Molly-Mae is no exception to the obligatory post-proposal photograph showing off her glittering diamond ring.

In anInstagram post , the former creative director of PrettyLittleThing gave her 7.6 million followers a look at her brand new engagement ring, which was complemented perfectly by her glossy ombré manicure.

The engagement manicure is one of the most crucial parts of any proposal as you’ll be looking back at the pictures for years to come, and it seems Molly-Mae got the memo, making sure her nails were primed and ready for their close up.

For her all-important manicure, she opted for a pink-toned ombré mani that combines the current milk nails trend with one of Molly-Mae’s go-to style – the French manicure.

Although she typically sticks to a classic French tip or opts for a one-colour design in her preferred neutral shades of white or beige, it seems the formerLove Islandcontestant has been branching out recently.

For theBarbie moviepremiere, Molly-Mae ditched her usually short rounded square nails in favour of a much longer stiletto shape, with the pink ombré colour scheme. As the premiere was just two weeks ago – and we’d like to think that the proposal was a complete surprise to her – it seems her Barbie manicure served her on two major occasions.

Although she never shared details of who was behind her Barbie-worthy mani, celeb manicuristHarriet Westmoreland has often been the talent behind Molly-Mae’s nails, and previously gave her a similar subtle milky manicure.

For her previous creamy nail look, Harriet used OPI Nail Varnish in the shade Funny Bunny, £13.50 here, which also happened to be worn by Sofia Richie for her wedding rehearsal dinner, and gives a wash of colour with a semi-sheer finish – perfect for creating an ombré look.

For an ombré French effect like Molly-Mae’s, start by painting a pink-toned shade, like essie Spin the Bottle, £8.99 here, onto the base of your nails.

Whilst it’s still wet, apply a white nail polish to the tips, before using a clean brush to blend the two together into a subtle ombré, before finishing off with an ultra-glossy top coat.

We’re already predicting this upgrade of the classic French manicure is going to be one of the biggest wedding nail trends of the year, thanks to its timeless elegance that manages to go with just about any wedding look imaginable.

With Molly-Mae already setting wedding trends, we can’t wait for her to start officially wedding planning!
