Shoppers rushing to buy advent calendar reduced from £30 to 25p | The Sun

A SHOPPER has been left stunned after spotting a Superdrug advent calendar reduced from £30 to just 25p.

It's common for retailers to drop the price of their advent calendars in early December to get rid of extra stock.

And one eagle-eyed shopper has spotted Dove advent calendars in her local Superdrug store in Guildford, Surrey, at over 80% off.

The calendar contains a number of health and beauty products, including toe clippers and moisturiser.

She said on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group: "Worth checking out your local Superdrug stores.

"They are selling last Xmas' advent calendars for 25p. Yes 25p.

We've approached Superdrug to see if the Dove Calendar is reduced across any other stores and will update this story once we've heard back.

However, it's not available online.

If you are heading out to your nearest store to see if they've got any in stock it might be worth ringing ahead to save you a wasted trip.

If you don't know where your nearest store is, you can use Superdrug's store locator on its website.

It comes after shoppers flocked to Asda to pick up chocolate advent calendars at half price.

How else can I save money shopping this Christmas?

The cost of living has soared for millions across the UK after inflation hit a 40-year high.

But there are ways to save money this Christmas.

If you're worried about forking out for presents, you could try doing Secret Santa with your friends or family.

That way everyone gets a present and you save on cash.

If you can hold your nerve and wait until Christmas Eve to bag a gift, you might be able to grab a bargain too on so-called "Super Saturday".

Supermarket food shopping costs can rack up too – but you can save by going for own brand products, known as "downshifting", or buying wonky veg through a number of schemes.
