‘Worried’ Prince William whispers funny word of warning as Kate Middleton cradles cute baby

Prince William and Kate Middleton have made hints that they won’t welcome a fourth child into their family – but the Duchess might be changing her mind.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed the sweetest day at Clitheroe Community Hospital on Thursday.

Kate, 40, and Prince William, 39, popped to Lancashire to meet the health staff and cuddle the cutest service puppy.

But as Kate cradled a baby in her arms, William got worried!

Crowds cooed as the Duchess held baby Anastasia for a photo with her parents, Trudi and Alastair Barrie. And William was having none of it, joking to the onlookers: “Don’t give my wife any more ideas!”

Kate carefully handed the baby back and William advised: “Don’t take her with you.”

Since the Royal Wedding in 2011, the Cambridges have welcomed three beautiful children into the family.

First Prince George, eight, then Princess Charlotte, six, and finally three-year-old Prince Louis.

Rumours have been circulating among Royal fans that Kate and William could welcome a fourth child into the happy family but after the Duke’s remarks, it sounds like another baby is out of the question.

Onlookers have praised the Cambridges’ parenting techniques, with Kate’s ‘keep calm’ approach and the occasional stern finger keeping the trio on their best behaviour in and out of the public eye.

Four years on from George’s birth, the Duchess confessed that motherhood was a whirlwind of emotions.

Speaking to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, she shared: “Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. It is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love and worry, all mixed together.

“Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, at times it has also been a huge challenge – even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not.”

While another baby may not be on the cards, Kate has more challenges ahead.

According to Gertrude Daly, host of Gert's Royal podcast, Camilla could 'step up' to help the Queen and lead Kate into a new role.

The Duchess of Cornwall may be added to the Counsellors of State as the heir apparent’s spouse to help the Queen in slimming down the monarchy, says Ms Daly.

This means Kate could be added earlier, too.

Ms Daly told the Daily Star: “Since Duchess Camilla is already going to be added, during Prince Charles’s reign, it could make sense to add her now. This would also set a precedence so that Duchess Kate could be added during Prince Charles’ reign, as the then heir apparent’s spouse.”
