LAURENT BLANC has been sacked as manager of Lyon.
The Manchester United legend has been dismissed as the team's head coach, with the side currently bottom of Ligue 1.
Lyon have had a dreadful start to the season as they have only picked up one point from their opening four fixtures, losing three.
Now, the Lyon board have had enough and pulled the trigger on sacking Blanc.
Back in August, Blanc, 57, even admitted that Lyon might have to 'change the manager" when asked about changing the situation at the club.
Lyon announced the decision with a statement.
