JORDAN HENDERSON is just one of seven players to have played over 50 times for England and still NOT score.

The Liverpool midfielder, 31, is one of the most experienced players in the Three Lions squad, with only Raheem Sterling having won more international caps in the current 26-man group.

Despite that, Henderson – a Premier League and Champions League winner with the Reds – has NEVER scored for his country.

Incredibly, in England history only six other outfield stars have ever played 50 games or more and failed to find the net.

Ashley Cole leads the way with 107 goalless England games, with Gary Neville (85) and Ray Wilson (63) way back.

Henderson's tally of 60 caps put him fourth, with Des Walker, Phil Neville (both 59) and Kyle Walker (57) the others.

Henderson thought he'd finally broken his duck during Tuesday's 1-0 win over Czech Republic.

Having replaced Declan Rice at half-time for his first Euro 2020 appearance, Henderson stabbed the ball home for what would have been his first England goal.

However, his effort was chalked off for offside with the long wait set to continue.

Henderson had desperately attempted to end his goal drought in the 1-0 warm-up win over Romania.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin won a penalty and looked set to take the spot-kick, only for Henderson to wrestle the ball from him and take it himself.

Unfortunately for the Liverpool captain, he fluffed his lines with his average effort saved.

After the game, Gareth Southgate confessed Henderson was NOT meant to take the penalty.

The Three Lions boss confirmed: "We expected Dominic Calvert-Lewin to take it and I was expecting Hendo to go over to him and let him take it.

"We will pull rank next time."

Henderson will next hope to break his goal drought in the Euro 2020 last-16 clash next Tuesday.

England will play the runners-up from Group F at Wembley, with France, Germany, Portugal and Hungary playing their final games on Wednesday night at 8pm.
