Salah's future remains unclear with his contract winding down.

The Egyptian superstar has just over 12 months remaining on his deal, which expires in June 2023.

Liverpool are understandably desperate to retain the 29-year-old, who's scored 153 goals and provided 57 assists in 239 appearances.

But no agreement has been struck with the attacker reportedly asking for wages of around £400,000-a-week and Liverpool reluctant to alter their wage structure.

Salah stressed that his preferred option is to stay at Anfield in January.

He said: "I want to stay but it's not in my hands, it's in their hands. They know what I want. I'm not asking for crazy stuff.

"The thing is when you ask for something and they show you they can give you something because they appreciate what you did for the club."

However, if no agreement is reached — Liverpool may be forced to sell, and there's no shortage of options.

But who are the favourites to sign Mohamed Salah?

Betfair still have Real Madrid as frontrunners at odds of 4/1.

Reports suggest the Spanish giants will focus their attentions on Salah if they fail to lure PSG star Kylian Mbappe to the Bernabeu.

Juventus are next at 6s after La Gazzetta dello Sport today claimed the club were preparing a huge financial package.

With forward Paulo Dybala set to leave on a free transfer in the upcoming transfer window, it's claimed Juve will have the financial muscle to attract Salah.

PSG and Arsenal are next at 12/1 and 16/1 respectively.

Newcastle are offered at 20/1, while Manchester City and Chelsea complete the seven-runner field at 25/1 and 33/1.
