18. Daredevil
Even if you’re not a massive Marvel fan, we can guarantee you’ll binge-watch all three seasons of Daredevil.
Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, the show stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil, a blind lawyer-by-day who fights crime as a masked vigilante by night.
The show is decidedly gritter than many in the superhero genre and has something to offer outside of the typical sci-fi / comic book audience.
A spin-off series, centered on Bernthal's character Frank Castle/ Punisher and titled The Punisher, was ordered by Netflix in April 2016 but sadly Daredevil was cancelled in November 2018.
However, Disney+ has since acquired the rights to the franchise, so the show could make a return in 2021 or beyond.

19. Snowpiercer
Snowpiercer is a post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller series based on both the 2013 South Korean-Czech film of the same name and the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, from which the film was adapted.
The show consists of ten episodes and stars Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs and Sean Bean.
The plot follows the passengers of the Snowpiercer, a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe carrying the remnants of humanity seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland.

23. Ragnarok
Norwegian fantasy drama Ragnarok reimagines Norse mythology on Netflix.
Taking place in the current day in a fictional town called Edda in Hordaland, West Norway, the Jutuls are plaguing the earth with industrial pollution from their factories.
The Jutuls, who are actually demi-gods, are challenged by a teenage boy called Magne after he finds out he is the human embodiment of the god Thor.

24. When They See Us
This four-part series starring Asante Blackk and Jharrel Jerome is based on the events of the April 19, 1989, Central Park jogger case and explores the lives of the five suspects who were falsely prosecuted on charges related to the sexual assault of a female victim, and of their families.
In June 2019, Netflix announced that the miniseries had been streamed by over 23 million viewers within its first month of release and the show went on to win several awards, so it really is a must see.

Set in the 1980’s during the AIDS epidemic, Pose is based on Blanca Rodriguez (MJ Rodriguez) after she is diagnosed with HIV.

The house takes in LGBTQ+ youth who have been rejected or thrown out by their biological families .
The new family consists of youngsters with dreams who need a safe haven.

Love is Blind sees 30 men and women hoping to find love spend 10 days taking part in a speed-dating format.
The men and women date each other in different "pods" where they can talk to each other but cannot see what they look like.
At any point, the men can decide to propose and if the women accept, the couples then finally get to see each other face to face before jetting to a couples retreat in Mexico to get to know one another better. The couples then move to the same apartment complex in Atlanta where they meet each other's families and see each other's living habits.
They then make their final decision whether to go ahead and get married on their wedding day, high stakes or what?

The series was filmed over a decade by Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos and was followed by a second series.

As more questions are asked about her past, she realises that her past is filled with secrets she didn’t know about.

Not your typical murder mystery, this Spanish thriller TV drama, shows the loves of three working-class students enrolled in a private school through a scholarship.
However, their wealthy classmates make life anything but easy. Life is made even harder when a student is murdered and her classmates are potential suspects.
It could be described as a Spanish version of 13 Reasons Why.

This American political satire mockumentary sitcom was hugely popular during its run between 2009 and 2015.
Starring Chris Pratt, Rashida Jones, Rob Lowe and Amy Poehler, the series followed Amy's character Leslie Knope, a perky, mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks Department of Pawnee, a fictional town in Indiana.

Queen of the South tells the powerful story of Teresa Mendoza, a woman who is flee her native Mexico and head to America after her drug-dealing boyfriend is shockingly murdered.

However, in the process, she learns all the skills needed to become a drug dealer and cleverly puts herself in a position to become the leader of the Cartel.

The show follows Daphne Bridgerton, who is the eldest daughter in a powerful and wealthy family and wants to meet a man and get married.

Daphne also becomes a target for Lady Whistledown’s scandal sheet.
Daphne then comes into contact with the insubordinate Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) and they come together to develop a plan that will keep her safe.

The iconic American documentary series has had a revamp on Netflix and it has proved to be a major hit for the streaming service.
The 12-episode series of Unsolved Mysteries looks at cold cases and paranormal phenomena, with unexplained events all over the world.
Viewers are then left to decide for themselves whodunnit after having all the facts presented to them.
The show is expected to return with its third rebooted series in late 2021 or early 2022.

Erotic drama Sex/Life has been thrilling fans with its tale of a woman lusting after a past lover, with some viewers wondering if it was a true story or not.
The show is based on the memoir of BB Easton – a former Nineties wild child from Atlanta, Georgia – detailing the sexy ins and outs of her failing marriage and new lover.
In the show, audiences see Billie fantasise about her ex lover Brad while also trying to reconnect with her husband Cooper.
But while she looks to be patching things up with her hubby, she can't stop thinking about the hot and steamy sessions with her former beau.

Glee and American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy is behind this Netflix series, which follows Payton Hobart in his quest to eventually become the President of the United States.
Season one follows Payton (Ben Platt) as he campaigns to become student body president at high school, while season two sees him chase after the position of New York State Senate.
Gwyneth Paltrow plays his mother Georgina while the cast also features big names and guest stars including Bette Midler and Jessica Lange.
There are two seasons of The Politician out now, with a third expected to be announced later this year.

74. Spaced
Hit comedy Spaced was one of the first projects between Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and despite being over 20 years old, it still raises plenty of laughs.
Spaced follows Simon's aspiring graphic designer Tim after he moves into a London flat with wannabe journalist Daisy, played by Jessica Hynes, who co-wrote the show with Simon.
Nick plays Tim's old school friend, the army-obsessed Mike, while other characters bringing the funny include Daisy's snobbish friend Twist (Katy Carmichael), their drunk landlady Marsha (Julia Deakin) and their artsy neighbour Brian (Mark Heap).

75. Chewing Gum
Michaela Coel recently wowed us all in BBC drama I May Destroy You, and she proves how versatile she is an actress and writer with her 2015 sitcom, Chewing Gum.
Michaela plays 24-year-old religious virgin Tracey Gordon, who is desperate to have sex and avoid turning into her uptight older sister Cynthia.
The show features cringe-worthy moments and some fourth wall breaks to give it an identity all of its own, and turns out to be a real winner.

This sitcom ran for six series from 2009 to 2015 and starred Joel McHale, Alison Brie and Ken Jeong.
It made heavy use of meta-humor and pop culture references and regularly paid homage to television and movie cliches.
Creator Dan Harmon based the show on his own experiences at a community college and the show has gained a cult following.

Bloodline centers on a close-knit family of four adult siblings whose secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep brother returns home.
It is an intriguing story of a well off family in the Florida Keys that have many dark secrets. The siblings are heirs of a beautiful inn that has been in their family for 50 years.
It is their childhood home with many great memories, but the deep dark past holds many untold tales. All combined makes the future very uncertain.
Bloodline ended with season 3 back in 2016.

78. The Fall
Emmy and Golden Globe winner, Gillian Anderson plays a British detective summoned to Belfast to solve a high-profile murder.

The Fall ended with its third season back in 2016.

79. Derry Girls
This Channel 4 comedy has produced two stellar six-part series for you to enjoy so far, with a third planned.
It follows the lives of a group of teenager in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland in the 1990s.
Erin, her cousin Orla, their friends Clare and Michelle, and Michelle's English cousin James try and navigate their way through a Catholic girls secondary school, with much hilarity.
With incredible nostalgic pop culture references, a killer soundtrack and sharp wit, it's a must watch.

80. Into the Night
Into the Night is a Belgian drama-Sci-Fi television show based on Jacek Dukaj's novel The Old Axolotl.
Suddenly, disaster strikes as the sun starts killing everything in its path, causing much panic and confusion.
Passengers on an overnight flight from Brussels will attempt to survive by any means necessary.
Into the Night will return for season 2 later this year.

81. Love, Death & Robots
This anthology series is made up of short, standalone episodes from a range of acclaimed animators.
From gory alien battles to ridiculous cartoons about sentient yoghurt -yes, you read that correctly – this series contains comedy, scares and everything in between.
The common thread across the episodes is a connection to dystopia, artificial intelligence and the extra-terrestrial.
The popular show has already been comissioned for a second season after rave reviews and is expected to hit the streamer in 2021.

82. The Big Bang Theory
This his US sitcom ran for 12 seasons until 2019 so there's plenty to sink your teeth into.
It follows the lives of physicists Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Lloyd Hofstadter (Johnny Galeki) and their friends Howard, an aerospace engineer, Raj, an astrophysicist and Penny, a waitress who lives across the hall from them.
As the series progresses, new characters join including Mayim Bialik as Amy, and it explores the gangs relationships, friendships and intricacies.

83. Last Chance U
This has become one of the most successful docuseries on Netflix, and follows junior college student athletes aiming to break into bigger league college football and – ultimately – the NFL.
Inner city Laney College in Oakland, California is the focus of Part 5, and the series highlights how it is a genuine part of the community.
While it can go to dark places, the head coach is relatable as are the players, making it a riveting and enlightening watch.

84. Orphan Black
This sci-fi drama follows outsider and orphan Sarah Manning after she witnesses the suicide of a woman who looks just like her.
Assuming her identity, Sarah quickly uncovers a conspiracy that will haunt her past and define her future.
Sci-fi fans craving a female-led series other than Doctor Who won't be disappointed, with Tatiana Maslany, who plays Sarah, winning an Emmy for her work on the show.
Orphan Black concluded with its fifth season back in 2017.

85. Wormwood
Oscar-winning filmmaker Errol Morris brings to life the mysterious death of scientist and CIA employee Frank Olson in this docudrama based in 1953.
Olson fell from the window of his hotel room in New York city and his death was ruled a suicide – that is, until he was linked to a top-secret experiment.
The series follows Olson's son Eric on his decades-long quest to identify the circumstances around his father's untimely death and figure out the truth.
Eric checks into the hotel room where his father was staying in order to find out more, before having his body exhumed to look for clues.
Wormwood will bring Eric and his associates face-to-face with some of the darkest secrets hidden within the underworld of the CIA.

86. Fear City: New York vs The Mafia
Throughout the 1970s and ’80s, the 'Five Families' of the New York mafia – Bonanno, Colombo, Gambino, Genovese and Luccese – held a powerful, and seemingly insurmountable, grip on the city.
This three-part docuseries, from the creators of Don’t F**K With Cats, details the incredible story of the history-making organised crime investigation and prosecution case brought against New York’s most formidable mob bosses.
Through interviews with dozens of law enforcement officials, ex-mafia associates and others, Fear City: New York vs The Mafia sheds light on how the mafia’s control of unions, high-rise construction and other industries netted billions for organised crime.

Netflix's own anthology series is set within the walls of a police interrogation room.
However, the show takes things to another level as the drama takes place across four countries – the UK, Germany, France and Spain, with each country getting three episodes each.
David Tennant and Hayley Atwell featuring in the cast of the UK version, while the next season will see Kit Harington and Kunal Nayyar guest star.
Netflix has yet to renew the drama for a third season.

88. Lucifer
Tom Ellis plays the titular character in this series, a handsome and seductive Lord of Hell who has settled in glamorous Hollywood after growing tired of Hell.
He then helps the LAPD round up and punish evildoers in the TV adaptation of the comic book.
The series was supposed to end after season five but Netflix renewed it for a sixth and final season, so there's plenty to digest.

89. The Staircase
The Staircase follows a war novelist accused of killing his wife in 2001 and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival before it arrived on the streaming giant.
Eight episodes aired in 2004 and the follow-up runs for three installments.
Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker Jean-Xavier de Lestrade was granted access to the case immediately following Kathleen’s death.
De Lestrade captured every moment of the story from arrest to verdict, following in intimate detail Peterson’s home, the family and his defence team as it considered its strategic options.

90. Rick and Morty
This isn't your typical animated series, which follows the misadventures of drunken mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his neurotic grandson Morty Smith.
Both characters are voiced by creator Justin Roiland and takes place in multiple realities and across various planets as Rick drags his grandson around the universe.
From time travel to shrink rays and bird-like aliends, this cartoon is wonderfully eccentric, as well as seriously dark at times.
Rick and Morty is expected to return with season 5 later this year.

91. Challenger: The Final Flight
This four-part documentary series tells the true story of the 1986 Challenger space disaster, which saw the space shuttle break up 73 second after launch, killing all seven crew members.
As well as looking at the mechanical failures that caused the tragedy, the crew's family talk about their loved ones and how they became one of the most diverse space crews ever created.
The documentary makers also speak to former Nasa engineers and officials who worked on the mission, many of which had raised safety concerns before the launch.

92. Ash vs Evil Dead
Fans of the cult horror Evil Dead franchise will love seeing Bruce Campbell back on their screens as the titular Ash.
Just like the films, the series is tongue-in-cheek and sees Ash team up with two department store colleagues to fight a whole host of ghouls.
There are three season to enjoy and while a fourth is looking unlikely, the episodes are worth a watch fo any die hard fans of Sam Raimi's original trilogy.

93. Cobra Kai
Originally a breakout hit on YouTube, Cobra Kai moved to Netflix and has been commissioned for a fourth season before the third has even aired.
The series is another blast of nostalgia as it follows on from the Karate Kid film series and sees Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) open his own dojo.
His rivalry with Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) is reignited for another epic martial arts showdown.
Cobra Kai's fourth season is expected to arrive later this year.

94. GLOW
GLOW tells the story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, a real-life group formed to promote women’s wrestling on TV, however the actual characters are fake.
Alison Brie leads the cast as Ruth, who auditions for a wrestling group as she struggles to make ends meet as an actress.
However, she gets a shock when her former BFF Debbie is already part of the group, with tensions high between the two thanks to Ruth stealing Debbie's husband.
With plenty of drama, colourful leotards and a killer 80s soundtrack, GLOW has delighted fans for three seasons until it was unceremoniously axed by Netflix despite originally commissioning a fourth.

95. Schitt's Creek
If you need a laugh, look no further than Schitt's Creek, a Canadian sitcom which has won a slew of Emmy Awards.
The series follows the Rose family, who used to be wealthy and privileged but are now trying to rebuild their life in the titular town.
Parents Johnny and Moira – along with their adult children David and Alexis – are forced to live in adjoining motel rooms, not ideal considering their spoilt nature but perfect for comedy.
We also have to give a shout out to Catherine O'Hara and her stunning array of wigs as Moira.

96. The Queen's Gambit
This limited series follows orphan and chess prodigy Beth Harmon in the 1950s and 60s.Anna Taylor-Joy plays the troubled lead, and while chess doesn't sound exciting enough to base a drama around, it is utterly compelling, not to mention stylish.

97. Blood of Zeus
An adult animation using the best of anime to tell this ancient Greek story, Blood of Zeus comes from the same studios as Castlevania.
A commoner living in ancient Greece, Heron discovers his true heritage as a son of Zeus, and his purpose: to save the world from a demonic army.
With Mount Olympus divided into two factions, deities clash in battles of Earth-shattering proportions.
Note – this isn't for you if you're squeamish as there's plenty of violence.
Blood of Zeus will return for a second series later this year.

This Israeli series draws on their experiences of its creators in the Israel Defense Forces.
It tells the story of Doron, a commander in the Mista'arvim unit and his team as they pursue a Hamas arch-terrorist known as "The Panther."

The American science fiction drama created by Lana and Lilly Wachowski has such a strong cult following that when it was cancel, its fans fervently petitioned Netflix to bring it back.
Sense8 is about a group of people around the world are suddenly linked mentally, and must find a way to survive being hunted by those who see them as a threat to the world's order.
It explores issues related to identity, sexuality, gender, and politics that Lana and Lilly had never seen on TV.
Alas, Sens8 was cancelled after its second season back in 2018.

100. Kingdom
South Korean pop culture is on a global roll right now, from BTS to the Oscar winning Parasite, so it's no wonder Netflix rushed to make its own series there.
Kingdom is a zombie thriller where a Korean prince is sent out on a mission to investigate an outbreak that threatens his kingdom.
While it's also a supernatural thriller, Kingdom serves period drama realness, explorations of class and privilege.
