BGT viewers left concerned by Simon Cowell’s ‘changing’ face on ITV talent show

Simon Cowell is finally back on Britain's Got Talent judging panel.

He missed most of the 2020 series after breaking his back in an e-bike crash and with last year's competition cancelled due to pandemic restrictions, the music mogul's return to ITV screens this weekend felt long overdue.

However, some viewers were distracted by his appearance and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

'Simon Cowell doesn’t even look like Simon Cowell anymore," said one fan.

While a second viewer pondered: 'Simon Cowell looks different but I can't put my finger on it, has he had some work done?'

'Simon Cowell.. what have you done to your face?' queried a third.

A fourth fan mused: "What’s happened to Simon Cowell?? Is his face ok?? #BGT'

Simon has been open before about taking his love of Botox too far, with his final treatment leaving him looking like 'something out of a horror show'.

The BGT judge said that he decided to stop when his strange appearance left son Eric, eight, in hysterics.

The former X Factor judge, who shares his son with partner Lauren Silverman, 44, revealed that as a result he no longer has any filler in his face as a result.

He told The Sun: 'There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other'.

But his son's reaction gave Simon pause for thought.

"Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero," he insisted.

He also admitted: "I saw a picture of me from "before" the other day, and didn't recognise it as me first of all."

Simon pondered: "Hopefully I look better now – I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago, because everyone on TV has it.

"Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment. I have a girl who comes here and does a great face massage – it's very relaxing."

Britain's Got Talent continues on ITV and ITVHub on Sunday, April 17 at 7.35pm
