Sarah, Christine, Waseem and Michael were the four The Chase contestants hoping to win big on Wednesday’s episode of the ITV quiz show. With Bradley Walsh on hand to provide the brainteasers, each player faced off against Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis in the hopes they could make it back to the Final Chase. However, when second player Christine stepped up to the plate, Bradley found himself having to warn her about her behaviour.
Christine took on Darragh fresh off the back of watching Sarah sail through with £4,000 to add to the prize fund.
Racking up £3,000 in her own cash-builder, Christine rejected Darragh’s higher and lower offer to play for what she’d earned.
And is normal on the show, Christine and Darragh’s head-to-head was full of quips and funny back and forths between the host and Chaser.
But when an excitable Christine chipped in with a cheeky swipe at the ITV host, he took the matter into his own hands.
The moment came after Bradley had spoken to Christine about her hobbies, in which she revealed she’s a keen collector of pencils.
So when the very first question centred on collectors, Bradley couldn’t believe his luck.
Bradley asked Christine and Darragh: “What type of collector would be interested in ducats and doubloons?”
Numismatist, Deltiologist and Philatelist were the three options available with Bradley suddenly realising Numismatist was the word he’d been trying to remember during his earlier conversation with Christine.
The Chase: Bradley teases Darragh over Apollo 11 answer
Christine and Bradley shared a hilarious back and forth as the Chase host accused her of “not paying attention” to their earlier chat.
“You’ve got to pay attention. I don’t know what I’m doing, I only came out for a loaf of bread,” Bradley joked before he and Christine found out if Numismatist was the right answer.
Luckily for Christine, it was correct and when Darragh also got the answer right, he quickly commented on the coincidence of the collector question being put to a collector.
“It turns out there are two things that spew out random things on this show, the computer that does the questions -“ Darragh began before Christine weighed in: “And Bradley.”

Laughter erupted in the studio as a shocked Bradley decided to tug Christine by the arm and guide her away from the table.
Bradley walked Christine away from the Chaser as he jokingly gave her a telling off.
“We going to have words,” Christine commented as Bradley warned: “You better watch it, Christine.
“Come on here, making a fool out of me, love. I don’t need anybody’s help,” he quipped.
As the pair began to turn and walk back to the table, Christine couldn’t resist another pop as she added: “You can do it yourself.”
Laughter continued in the studio as Bradley began to chuckle himself before returning to the game.
Christine went on to make it back to the Final Chase along with Sarah and Waseem, with the trio playing for £11,000.
However, Darragh caught the team’s target of 15 in the final round with 27 seconds to spare, sending them home empty-handed.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
