NOODLE the AI cat has left Britain's Got Talent viewers desperate to find out who owns the incredible voice behind the singing feline.

The fun animation captivated the audience and judges on Saturday night's show with a rousing rendition of Nina Simone's Feeling Good.

One name that's cropping up time and time again is a star of last year's series as well as the latest edition of America's Got Talent.

Fans think 24-year-old Tom Ball, from West Sussex, is behind the act.

The teacher, who wowed Amanda Holden with his version of Sam Smith's Bond theme last year, certainly has the powerful vocals.

One viewers said: "100% TOM BALL you deserve to win this year mate. Came 3rd on BGT and is one of the greatest singers. It’s CGI as it would give away it’s him."

Another insisted: "The voice definitely sounds like Tom Ball."

A third said: "I think the Noodle might be Tom ball under cover cause it sounds like him."

Before the performance, Noodle said in a VT clip: "I've got a big surprise for the judges, there is a lot more to this cat that meets the eye."

Amanda could be heard cackling when she saw the grey feline appear on stage, followed by Bruno Tonioli, who asked: "What is it going to do?"

But the judges were left open-mouthed when the act revealed their silky-smooth voice and belted out the huge ballad.

"Oh my god, now that's a vocal," Bruno said after the performance.

Amanda echoed: "OMG, I can't believe a voice has come out of somebody with a tiny neck," to which Bruno joked: "You must be Michael Bublé's pussycat."

He added: "Those vocals were insane."

After the clip made its way onto YouTube, one audience member revealed how Noodle was brought to life.

They said: "I was in the audience for this audition. The cat was a screen projection. Clever how they put it on stage for the TV showing."

One viewer replied: "Thankyou!! This was driving me mad trying to confirm if it was CGI or robot/puppet or some new tech."

Another said: "Thanks for shedding some light to this… I quite couldn’t understand what was going on here. Lucky you being there!!"

Even Simon Cowell was impressed by the cat's performance, saying: "I've always said that one year a singing animal would win Britain's Got Talent – I've always said it, I've not always necessarily believed it.

The act went away with four yeses – but it is not yet known who is behind the generated image.
