CORONATION Street star James Jack Ryan has revealed his heartbreak following the death of a beloved family member.
The 27-year-old to Instagram to tell fans the sad news and posted a photo alongside his message.
Sharing that his family dog had passed away, Jack wrote: "Utterly devastated to say we lost my best boy Frank today very unexpectedly to an aggressive cancer.
"He was the best mate a guy could ask for."
Jack later posted a sweet snap of Frank posing with two other dogs, calling them "the iconic trio".
The actor, who played Jacob in Coronation Street until January, recently revealed he's landed an exciting new part.

He will star in ITV's brand new dark comic thriller Passenger which centres around the abduction of a young woman.
Jack will play the role of Jakub Makowski in the six-part series, which is currently filming.
