Dancing On Ice winners in full – from Sonny Jay to Gaynor Faye

Dancing On Ice 2022 is finally here, and we get to watch as a new bunch of celebrities take to the ice in a bid to be crowned winners.

This year will see the likes of Love Island's Liberty Poole, Coronation Street's Sally Dynevor and Happy Mondays' band member Bez strap on their skates.

All the celebrities will be hoping to skate to victory – but there can only be one winner.

The overall winner will join a long list of former champions, who have gone on to have career highs after taking on one of TV's most challenging shows.

Here we take a look at all the celebs who have scooped the title since the ITV series began in 2006.

Sonny Jay, 2021

The 2021 winner of Dancing On Ice was Capital Radio DJ Sonny Jay.

Together with pro partner Angela Egan, he beat Faye Brookes and Colin Jackson in the final.

Sonny still works as a presenter and currently hosts Capital Breakfast.

Joe Swash, 2020

2020 champion Joe Swash won series 12, beating favourite Perri Kiely in the live final.

The actor and TV presenter struggled early in the competition, but managed to impress fans with his partner Alex Murphy.

Joe is currently loved-up with Stacey Solomon, who he proposed to in December 2020.

They were supposed to be getting married last year but put their plans on hold after Stacey fell pregnant. They are hoping to get married in July this year.

James Jordan, 2019

Despite suffering from a shoulder injury, ballroom dancer James Jordan was crowned winner of Dancing On Ice 2019 with partner Alexandra Schauman.

The pair beat Love Island's Wes Nelson and Finnish singer Saara Alto.

Since winning Dancing On Ice, he and his wife Ola welcomed their first child, Ella, following IVF treatment.

Jake Quickenden, 2018

Singing sensation Jake Quickenden won Dancing On Ice in 2018, becoming the second former X factor star to win the show.

Since winning the show his career haas gone from strength to strength.

He starred in Hair The Musical, and done TV presenting. Jake also starred in The Real Full Monty On Ice at the end of 2020 to raise awareness of cancer.

Jake also became a first-time dad with his girlfriend Sophie Church in February 2021.

Ray Quinn, 2009 and All Stars 2014

Ray Quinn won Dancing On ice in 2009, as well as the All Stars season in 2014.

He re-paired with Mario Filippov, who beat all the previous winners to become the ultimate champions.

He originally found fame on Brookside, but also came third in The X factor in 2006, proving his talents are near limitless.

Ray went on to star in West End productions, going on to bag roles such as Danny Zuko in Grease, Billy Kosteki in Dirty Dancing and Warner Huntington II in Legally Blonde.

Beth Tweddle, 2013

Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle took the Dancing On Ice crown in 2013 after beating boxer Luke Campbell and actor Matt Lapinskas in the final.

Beth took a few years out to focus on her personal life, but returned to the screens in 2016 when she took part in Channel 4’s The Jump.

However, she was forced to pull out of the competition after suffering a severe back injury, going on to undergo neck surgery.

Last year Beth announced she is expecting her second child with husband Andy in March 2022.

Matthew Wolfenden, 2012

Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden soared to victory in 2012, against X Factor’s Chico and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter.

Matthew plays David Metcalfe in the ITV soap, and has remained on the show since his win.

He has had a brief period away from the show since September 2021 due to an alleged race row.

However, according to The Sun he will return after ITV accepted an alleged remark was “misheard”.

Sam Attwater, 2011

EastEnders actor Sam Attwater won Dancing On Ice in 2011, beating fierce competitors TV presenters Chloe Madeley and Laura Hamilton.

The former soap star went on to star in the All Star version, where he came fourth with his then-fiancé Vicky Ogden.

Sam and Vicky tied the knot in 2014, and in 2016 they welcomed their two daughters.

Since then Sam has starred in a number of West End shows, including Rags the Musical, where he played Michael the moustache man.

Hayley Tamaddon, 2010

Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon won the second series of Dancing On Ice in 2010 alongside professional skater Daniel Whiston.

They bagged the top spot against Hollyoaks stars Gary Lucy and Kieron Richardson. Hayley and Daniel went on to become runner up on the All Stars season.

Following her win, she went back to working on soaps. Before going on the show she had played Delilah Dingle in Emmerdale from 2005 to 2007.

After Dancing on Ice she joined Coronation Street as Andrea Beckett in 2013.

In 2017 she appeared in comedy film Eaten by Lions alongside Antonio Aakeel and Jack Carroll. She has also appeared on Celebrity Juice and The Chase.

Suzanne Shaw, 2008

Hear’Say star Suzanne Shaw beat Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain and actress Sarah Abrahams to be crowned winner of Dancing On Ice 2008.

After winning with professional partner Matt Evers, she went on to star in a number of West End productions.

These included Chicago, The Vagina Monologues and White Christmas.

Away from her career she’s a hands on mum-of-two who lives in a luxury home in Berkshire.

Kyran Bracken, 2007

Kyran Bracken won Dancing On Ice with American professional Melanie Lambert in 2007.

The rugby player surprised everyone with his skills, beating the likes of Boyzone’s Stephen Gaztely and Blue Singer Duncan James.

After his victory, Kyran went on to tour with Holiday On Ice in their show Romanza. He also returned to the show for the All Stars edition, where he finished fifth.

Family man Kyran and his wife Victoria have since the show welcomed three sons, Charlie, Jack and Lochlan.

In 2020 he launched a new podcast called Rick It! with fellow England international Nick Easter.

Gaynor Faye, 2006

Soap star Gaynor Faye won the first ever season of Dancing On Ice back in 2006.

She was partnered with professional performer Daniel Whiston, and went up against actor and singer Stefan Booth and TV veteran Bonnie Langford in the final.

Since winning the show she went on to star as Megan Macey in Emmerdale from 2011 to 2019.

She also appeared in the stage adaptation of Calendar Girls on the West End, and appeared on The Chase.

In March 2021 she also appeared in the BBC One drama The Syndicate as Cheryl Armitage.
