EastEnders fans went wild on Tuesday night after they spotted that Kellie Bright's real-life husband Paul Stocker made a cameo on the BBC One soap.

During the tense episode, two men stormed into the Queen Vic demanding that Kellie's character Linda Carter hand over the charity money raised.

As Linda attempted to reach her mobile to make an emergency call, one of the attackers grabbed her arm and warned: "One more move and you'll be sorry."

However, soap watchers were left distracted as they instantly recognised the character as Kellie's real-life husband Paul as they took to Twitter to share their discovery.

One person said: "I thought I recognised the name of the thug who threatened Linda. It’s Paul Stocker, her real life husband! #EastEnders."

While a different account commented: "Good to see Kellie Bright's husband make another appearance in EastEnders. This time as robber of the Vic."

The discovery was also confirmed at the end of the episode as Paul Stocker was shown on the credits as one of the mystery men during the episode.

During the tense scenes, Linda was saved by Zack Hudson who was secretly upstairs with Nancy as he chased off the robbers and retrieved the stolen cash.

It is believed that strict social distancing measures are in place at EastEnders, explaining Kellie's husband Paul portraying the character.

This isn't the actor's first EastEnders cameo and he also stepped in to shoot certain scenes last year, as well as appearing as DS Howard South in 2016.

Paul is an actor and has starred as a solider in the 2007 film Atonement alongside Keira Knightley and James McAvoy.

He also played a Guard Solider in the BAFTA-winning film Mark of Cain (2007).

Meanwhile Paul has appeared on stage with productions including The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time as Mr Thompson and Six Degrees of Separation.

Kellie met Paul when they starred in a play together. Paul was 24, and Kellie seven years his senior at 31.

And the stunning blonde admitted that it was the age gap which caused the pair to briefly split – before the very happy couple tied the knot in Trelill, Cornwall, in 2014.

Kellie revealed she was pregnant with her third child through frozen embryo insertion back In March. They are already parents to sons Freddie, nine, and Gene, four.

In an interview with OK! , she previously warned that IVF isn't "magic" as she discussed her journey to getting pregnant with her third child with husband Paul.

Kellie said: "The first two embryos didn't work. So this baby inside me now was the last one we had – the last chance of a pregnancy, because at 44 we were not going through IVF again.

"I believe it was meant to be. But those three months, between September and November, were a real roller-coaster."
