Ellie Goulding reveals she's given birth to her first baby with husband Caspar Jopling

ELLIE Goulding has revealed she's given birth to her first baby with husband Caspar Jopling.

The Anything Could Happen singer confirmed she was pregnant back in February when she was already seven months along.

The singer’s husband, art dealer Caspar, announced the arrival of the tot on his social media today.

Next to a bunch of flowers he wrote: “Mum and baby both healthy and happy. Extremely grateful.”

Ellie kept her pregnancy under wraps until she was eight months gone.

In an interview she revealed lockdown at their home in Gloucestershire had allowed them to keep it quiet.

Ellie, who married Caspar at York Minster in August 2019, said last month: “I stole my husband's coat for about six months.

“But that was really just in the shops, I didn't go anywhere else. Out on walks, I just kept it covered up. It wasn't really that hard, though, because of lockdown, I haven't really seen anyone.”

Ellie posed for a photoshoot with Vogue Magazine to mark her pregnancy and revealed she was enjoying being pregnant.

The singer, who has had three UK No1 singles and albums, told the fashion bible she had found out she was expecting on their one-year wedding anniversary.

She said: “I was pregnant and had no idea. That was [around] the time when Caspar and I went away briefly when we were allowed to for our one-year anniversary, and that's basically when we found out.

“It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn't seem like it could be a reality.

“Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human. I want a better word than womanly – I have curves I've never had before.

“I'm enjoying it. My husband's enjoying it.”
