Tonight is the night every Emmerdale fan has been waiting for: The wedding of Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd (Emma Atkins and Lawrence Robb).
While the lead up to it has certainly been dramatic, this energy is set to continue into the episode itself, as the couple fight to make it to the church on time.
In this new video, actor Lawrence Robb promises that Charity and Mack’s wedding episode will be ‘something to remember’.
From a perm disaster to a secret baby, the lovers have overcome a lot in the last few episodes as their big day grew ever closer.
However, their biggest obstacle comes tonight, as they languish in jail cells while the rest of the villagers set up for a wedding that may never be.
Meanwhile, Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) is in labour, having fallen pregnant with Mack’s baby after a one night stand last year.
When Charity and Mack are finally released, it is a race against time to get back to the church, where Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is attempting to stall Charles (Kevin Mathurin).
As they head to the church, Mack receives the shocking news that his baby is on the way, and is forced to make a huge decision: Marry Charity or attend his child’s birth.
Talking about the craziness of the wedding episodes, Emma Atkins revealed that she has loved working alongside Lawrence and Jessie, though she’s not sure how much longer it will continue.
There is only so long a secret can remain secret in a soap, and when it comes out it will almost certainly be explosive.
Jessie Elland agreed that the scenes will surely be ‘explosive’ and ‘dramatic’, and a treat for her to do as an actor.
With all the stakes piled against them, will Charity and Mack manage to tie the knot, or is Mack and Chloe’s big secret set to come out sooner than we thought?
