Married at First Sight Australia season seven is available to watch now in its home country but UK fans are keen to jump into the next season. With the Channel 4 UK version hooking fans across the country, heads are turning towards the return of the Australian version ahead of the UK finale.

What is the release date of Married at First Sight Australia season 7?

Traditionally there has been a significant delay between the Australian and UK premieres of MAFS Australia.

Season six of the show originally aired in May 2020 down under, but only hit UK screens in March of 2021.

The Australian version of the programme is made by, and aired on, Nine Network, a channel exclusively broadcast in the country.

The same is true for its streaming service alternative, 9Now, with neither being available to access in the UK.

Channel 4 handles the distribution of MAFS Australia in the UK, with the first six seasons available to watch now on All4.

However, neither Nine Network nor Channel 4 have announced when season seven of the Australian version will become available in the UK.

There could be a substantial wait, as E4 will not want to group the releases of the franchise together.

The earliest season seven could make its debut in the UK is late 2021.

Between the releases of seasons five and six in the UK, there was a four-month gap.

It has been six months since season six’s premiere, making seven overdue for a premiere by the previous timeframe.

The latest season of the UK version premiered on August 30 and is still airing on E4 and All4.

In fact, the new season of the UK version is taking inspiration from Australia, with the show changing its style.

Fans have already noted the move into a shared house for the couples, something that has been done in Australia but was absent in the UK, until now.

E4 released this synopsis of the UK’s new season: “Following the Australian format, rather than legal marriages, the couples will make a lifelong commitment to one another at a glamorous ceremony, overseen by a wedding celebrant, that includes guests, bridal gowns, dancing, speeches and cake.

“After the ceremony and celebrations are over, true love is well and truly put to the test, as they embark on a luxurious honeymoon, before moving in with each other AND their fellow couples.”

There are three versions of the show, with the third taking place in the USA.

With the UK version now adopting the Australian format, it makes the three shows more closely aligned.

Fans have been reacting to the latest season of the UK version on social media, with many of them sharing their thoughts on the changes.
