E4’s hit programme Married At First Sight UK returned to help singles find love, however, it was recently revealed Whitney Hughes wasn’t satisfied. After watching the episodes, her new husband Duka Cav hit back at her brutal expectations and claimed he was being body shamed.

Following season seven’s return in August, viewers met the singletons who met the future spouses for the first time on their wedding day.

This included 31-year-old legal PA Whitney Hughes, who tied the knot with 31-year-old recruitment HR coordinator and stripper Duka Cav.

However, it was quickly revealed Whitney wasn’t happy with the husband the dating experts chose for her.

After saying her vows, she told the cameras: “I wanted a man who’s a man that’s towering over me, like massive, like a brick house. Compared to a house, maybe he’s a shed.”

Things took a turn for the worse after they jetted off to South Africa for their honeymoon.

While Duka told viewers his new wife was “caring,” Whitney continued to slam to cameras and claimed he was “fake,” and was putting on a “fake act.”

The couple clashed during a safari trip after her ring went missing and Whitney refused to wear a replacement that Duka offered.

Now, filming had ended the couples have been watching back alongside viewers and as a result, Duka watched Whitney’s statements to cameras and shared his own thoughts.

In a recent interview, the HR coordinator disclosed: “Had I known at that point in time how she was making fun of my name, not only disrespectful to me, but my background, my culture as well, it’s not about leave or stay or all that, I would’ve left there and then no questions asked.”

Duka added: “Not to use these heavy words, but the whole thing of body shaming, ‘Oh his arms need to be bigger,’

“I’m like, a six foot two man that’s 16 stones, I’m healthier than 99.9% of the public.”

He also hit back at Whitney’s comments on his body and shared: “Had I said those comments about a woman, I would be publicly cancelled.”

Duka continued: “And it’s double standards around that, it’s almost that sometimes – this is a blanket statement – that women get a pass in what they think and feel of a man, but yet, if the men were to wear the same shoes they would get cancelled.”

During his interview with Metro Online, Duka added that Whitney has yet to apologise for her comments.

When the couples got together for the dinner, the meal ended in tears for Whitney as she walked away from the table.

She continued to claim he was “fake” and added: “Everyone’s got genuine people and I’ve just got this fake person, everyone keeps telling me ‘try, try’, I can’t.”

After some moments, Whitney was able to explain what she meant after she calmed down.

Speaking to cameras, the PA explained she had become overwhelmed and questioned her place “I felt like what the f**k am I doing here.”

In a statement on her Instagram page, Whitney also hit back at viewers who slammed her on social media and teased that it would all make sense soon.

She wrote: “We’re only two weeks in, a lot more will unfold in the next few weeks.”

Married At First Sight UK airs on E4 at 9pm.
