Peter Kay makes return to the stage after 11 years to raise money for charity

PETER Kay made an epic comeback as he returned to the stage after 11 years to raise money for charity last night.

The comedian, 48, showed off his impressive skills on the DJ deck as part of a dance-a-thon at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.

Peter Kay's Dance For Life started back in 2016 so that he could raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The event, which was originally supposed to happen in 2020, started at 7.30pm and lasted for three hours.

Peter definitely looked the part as he rocked a rainbow coloured sweatband around his head and a retro shellsuit.

The funnyman will be back again tonight in the northern city, treating fans to a selection of tunes.

Peter Kay's Dance For Life will return to the capital at Alexandra Palace on April 29.

But don't worry, in the summer the star is back in Liverpool performing at the Echo Arena.

This is the first time Peter has been on stage since his The Tour That Doesn't Tour Tour… Now On Tour in 2011.

Peter stepped away from the limelight in 2017 due to "unforeseen family circumstances".

However, back in 2021 the comedy superstar did make a special appearance on stage for two charity specials after several years out of the limelight – and it sold out in seconds.
