What did Garth Brooks say about touring?

COUNTRY icon, Garth Brooks, has made a big decision regarding his future concerts.

Due to factors beyond the band's control, Brooks is quitting stadium tours.

What did Garth Brooks say about touring?

On April 15, 2022, Garth Brooks announced that he would no longer be performing at large stadiums once this year's touring season is over – a decision he believes is best for his band and crew.

"Put a stadium together and here comes the pandemic, here comes the weather, it's all the things you never had to worry about when you got to play indoor, right?"

Ahead of Saturday night's concert in Nashville, he told reporters he would much rather opt for arenas over stadiums.

"I would much rather have a roof over my head and if you get to play for, say, 70,000 people here, next time you play here, if you're going to play for 70,000, how about five nights indoor? I'd be happy to do that."

He even mentioned playing smaller venues if possible:

"I'd love to go to dive bars. Seventy-five of 'em. Let's line 'em up, let's go. Those are the most fun you can have that's somewhat legal."

Brooks is currently making his way through his 2022 stadium tour.

He is visiting cities within the U.S. including; San Diego, California, Nashville, Tennessee, Foxborough, Massachusetts, Orlando, Florida, and more.

He will also be making a multi-night appearance in Dublin, Ireland.

Tickets can be purchased online at a variety of retailers such as Ticketmaster – although many of his shows are already completely sold out.
