Piers Morgan branded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'ginge and cringe' as he slammed their new Spotify podcast during Monday's Good Morning Britain.
The 55-year-old television presenter claimed the royals were "using" their son Archie to "flog" their podcast after hearing an adorable clip of the little one during an episode.
Susanna Reid disagreed with her GMB co-star as she shot to Harry and Meghan's defence.
Piers ranted furiously: "Meghan and Harry, I thought they had a successful festive period, have we got this gut-wrenching clip of them using Archie, the boy they're so desperate to protect to privacy, they use them to flog his podcast."
Susanna said: "I realise this has triggered you sorry."
Piers continued: "Ginge and cringe is their new nickname, when they did the podcast on Spotify and they brought Archie in to flog it and you heard him laugh, did it not make you cringe?
Susanna disagreed with Morgan as she argued: "No!"
"Not at all? Not even after all the 'we've got to leave the country to protect his privacy' and 'now the moment we've signed a big deal we're going to use him to flog it'", Piers remarked.
Susanna said: "Don't say use him. He's a part of their family and if they want to include him that's up to them.
"I think that's gorgeous."
Morgan said: "Yeah it's really gorgeous and a perfect way to protect his privacy."
Susanna fumed: "Listen, Piers Morgan, just because you sometimes involve your family that does not give people carte blanche to invade your privacy…"
Piers and Susanna continued to clash as Morgan added: "They are fleecing their royal titles to make money.
"Let them go and do their thing as Meghan and Harry but stop using the Queen, we've had this debate many times, it is inappropriate for members of the royal family to fleece people using their titles."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
