Spoilers: Charity seethes as evil Danny returns to destroy Sarah in Emmerdale

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) was left fuming in Emmerdale tonight (January 7), as she discovered that Danny Harrington (Louis Healy) had returned to the eponymous village.

The young man has been texting Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) this week, letting her know that he’s been released from prison.

However, Sarah decided to ignore such texts — that is, until she came face-to-face with Danny in tonight’s double-bill.

Danny lied through his teeth, claiming to have learned from his past mistakes while in prison, and explained how he’s determined to turn over a new leaf.

Sarah believed his every word, and therefore decided to have some fun with her former beau. Yes, she, Danny and his mate Mason sneaked into The Woolpack and stole some booze.

Mason was in possession of drugs, however, and after a batch of said drugs were discovered by Chas (Lucy Pargeter), Sarah decided to get rid of the evidence by planting the rest on newcomer Ethan (Emile John) — which resulted in the young man getting wrongfully arrested.

Meanwhile, Diane (Elisabeth Estensen) had a word with Charity, and made her see that she needed to change her ways if she wanted to hold on to her kids.

Therefore, Charity ultimately signed Noah’s (Jack Downham) consent form for the army, and set about making amends with Sarah too — but she ultimately witnessed the young girl speaking to Danny!

The Woolpack landlady was seething — as she processed the fact that Danny was back to cause more trouble — but will she take action?

Emmerdale continues Friday January 8 at 7pm on ITV.
