Strictly: Dianne says she’s ‘adopted’ Bobby as her ‘little brother’
Bobby Brazier’s Strictly Come Dancing pro partner Dianne Buswell has revealed that she already thinks of the EastEnders star as family.
“I am so happy. I have already adopted Bobby as my little brother, and I already care so much about him, I just want him to have the best time ever,” she said on the glitzy Strictly launch show.
“I’m with you every step of the way,” she said beaming as Bobby responded, “I know you are.”
While Bobby’s proud dad Jeff Brazier and younger brother Freddie looked on from the audience the young star, who recently won the Best Newcomer award at the NTAs, Bobby explained to host Claudia Winkleman how he practices mindfulness.
“I like to be peaceful and lovely and a nicer version of me,” he giggled.

However, when asked if she had a taste for what he would be like in the competition, Dianne conceded that his dancing needed a bit of work.
“For me, it’s just his smile when he starts dancing…we need to work on your technique,” she told him, “but your smile is…it just makes me so happy,” she said beaming from ear to ear.
“And I think that is so much what Strictly is about,” she continued. “So I’m just buzzing. I’m so happy.
Bobby is one of the favourites to win the show but surprisingly has never seen a single episode of the long-running Saturday night dance contest.
Indeed, the 20-year-old, who was the 12th celebrity to be announced this year, wasn’t even born when the show started 21 years ago.

Despite not being familiar with the competition however, he explained that he “was always going to say yes, whether it was this year, last year, the next year,” because he loves dancing.
“Whether it was on TV or not, the opportunity to dance with a professional dancer, and learn a different style of dancing every week is just my idea of a good time.”
As for previous dance experience, the actor outlined: “I’m not a trained dancer but I love to dance. I just love dancing so if I’m at a party, I dance, if I’m at home I dance…I’m always dancing.”
When asked if he had done anything to prepare for the upcoming live shows, he confessed: “I’ve done absolutely nothing.”
“These dancers are the fittest people I’ve ever met, they’re like, robots – dancing machines! Maybe I’ll start stretching a little bit.”
Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 6.15pm on BBC One.
